FitCheck helps you compare your CV to a job description and create a tailored application package. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information. We have kept the app deliberately simple, so there is very little to explain.

The short version

You sign in with an email and password so we can hold the credits you buy. We store your email, your credit balance, and a record of your purchases. We do not store the text of your CV, the jobs you look at, or the documents the AI creates for you. Those stay in your browser and are gone when you close the tab.

What stays in your browser

When you upload a CV as a PDF, the text is read inside your own browser. The PDF file itself is never uploaded to us. When you build a CV with the form, that also happens in your browser. All of it lives only in the open page and disappears when you close the tab or press "Back to start".

What is sent to the AI provider

To check fit or tailor your CV, the text of your CV and the text of the job description are sent to our small server, which forwards them to our AI provider, Anthropic (the makers of Claude), to generate your result. The result is sent straight back to your browser.

We do not store these texts on our server. They pass through only to produce your answer.
Anthropic processes the text to generate the response. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models, and retains it only for a limited period for trust and safety purposes. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details.
Please avoid pasting information you would not want processed this way. A CV normally contains your name and contact details, which is expected; there is no need to include very sensitive data such as ID numbers.

Your account

To buy credits and generate application packages, you create an account with your email and a password. Sign-in and your account record are handled by Supabase, a hosting provider acting on our behalf. Your account stores only:

your email address and a securely-hashed password (we never see your password in plain text);
your credit balance (one credit produces one application package);
a record of your credit purchases (the date, the amount, and how many credits) so we can support you if a payment goes wrong.

Your account does not store your CV, the job descriptions you check, or the documents the AI generates. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

What we log

Our server keeps only basic technical logs needed to keep the service running and to fix errors (for example, that a request happened and whether it succeeded). We do not log the contents of your CV or the job description.

Cookies and tracking

FitCheck does not use advertising or tracking cookies. To keep the service from being abused, we may use a lightweight "are you human" check from Cloudflare, which is privacy-respecting and not used to track you across the web.

Your rights (EU/Ireland, GDPR)

The only personal information we hold is your account: your email, your credit balance, and your purchase history. You have the right to see this information, correct it, or have it deleted. To close your account and have its data removed, email us at the address below and we will take care of it. We do not store your CV, the job descriptions you check, or the AI's results, so there is nothing of that kind for us to show or delete.

A note on the results

The verdict and the tailored CV are AI-generated suggestions, not professional or legal advice. Always check the tailored CV against your real experience before sending it. It should never claim anything you cannot stand over in an interview.
